Mali

DW trained local builders in the Mopti region of Mali from 1992 for many years, initially as an extention of the Niger Woodless Construction programme, and from 1995 onwards, as and independant activity supported by Lutheran Word Relief and the Red Cross. Builders from Mali in turn helped extend the Woodless Construction activities to Burkina Faso and Mauritania. DW maintains close connections with Malian partner organisations who continue to use the techniques.
