 Ngày 29/6, Liên hiệp các tổ chức hữu nghị tỉnh Thừa Thiên - Huế phối hợp với Trung tâm phát triển nông thôn bền vững tổ chức hội thảo “cùng hành động để ứng phó với biến đổi khí hậu và giảm nhẹ thiên tai tại Thừa Thiên -Huế”.

Từ nhiều năm nay, tỉnh Thừa Thiên - Huế đã triển khai khá toàn diện chương trình hành động ứng phó biến đổi khí hậu và giảm nhẹ thiên tai tại các địa phương trên địa bàn, trong đó đặc biệt chú trọng đến các địa phương chịu ảnh hưởng nhiều từ biến đổi khí hậu như vùng ven phá Tam

Theatre play "The pang of Water God"

DWF has started an activity for JANI (Joint Advocacy Network Initiative - ECHO DIPECHO funded project) about Theatre play as a tool to communicate with communities about disaster risk reduction.

A first play has been written and prepared in Hue, and perfomed by non professional in Hong Chu Commune. Evaluation of the content has been discussed with several groups from audience (children, teen agers, men, women, old people, local authorities). Great appreciation !

In the next weeks, DWF will collaborate with JANI partners to prepare/perfom a play in Northen Vietnam and in Mekong Delta.

  As the urgent need for climate change adaptation becomes clearer, so three issues come to the fore. The first is the cost. Many estimates suggest that trillions of dollars are needed, with little idea of where these might come from. The second is whether governments and international agencies will act with the needed urgency. The third is whether those who need to act get the support they require. A meeting on Financing Urban Adaptation to Climate Change held at IIED on the 13-14 June highlighted eight points to guide funding.
